Change made by the Holy Spirit

Have you ever wanted something so bad, prayed about it, God lead you to it, then had doubts before it even happened? It's amazing how God places somethin in our hearts, and then we doubt it. We doubt it like we actually know what's best for us when in reality, God the most highest of anyone or anything, knows what is best. I'll give you an example here, Meg wanted out of Galesburg for the longest time, God places it in Meg's heart that she is to leave by September, Meg doubts God saying "Where do you want me to go?" "ask and You shall receive" so God says to go to West Frankfort, God gets everything together and God sets it in Meg's lap. The day of the move, Meg has doubt. Why does she have doubt? This is what Jesus has to say about doubt

And Jesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith (a firm relying trust) and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done. Matthew 21:21

wow! how amazing that is! So what does Meg do? Obey God amen?

Come bless the Lord

Have you ever thought that the music we listen to, the tv shows we watch, or the movies could be effecting us spiritiually? Yea! It's true. Media is like a all you can eat buffet, a little of this and a little of that until we get our fill. Media can make us think worldly about certain subjects when in reality, biblically it is wrong. Just because the world may say it's okay through the media, that can land yuh in the burning flames. The world has it's own purpose, for satan roams this earth taking in anyone he can devour. So what am I saying? Watch what you watch on tv, what you listen to, and even who you listen to! When in doubt pray and ask for the guidence of God

Decision making vs. enough taking

Decision: Don't go to school because of this issue? No way!
Enough: Sick of the circumstances I was placed in yes, but stand up under it, amen!

Today while I was I walked into the church I was greeted by a fellow attender of whom I know pretty well, she's sweet, loving, and very blunt with her words. Now, I've known her since I started attending church back when I was 11 (I'm 18 now). This lady is not only a fellow attender of the church, but she is also one of my teachers at school. Since she is one of my teachers at school and because she's also a Christian, I look up to her in many ways. As I tell her hello, I let this lady know why I don't attend school a lot. I tell her my last hour class is a class I could care less for. But, may I remind you that while being in this class, it's hard to proclaim Christ and very hard to stand up for what you KNOW is right, rather than be filled with what others think is right. These others that I am talking about are everyone else in the room that are not Christians at all, these students and teacher are living heavily in the world. In this class I hear about sex, cursing, drugs, drinking, partying, who has what STD, and not to mention watching ridiculous videos that the teacher has us watch on a daily basis. These videos consist of South Park, another video that was played talked about a very inappropriate sex move, and also the cursing in a few of the videos. May I remind you that the teacher teaching this class allows this and joins in the conversations. But, this lady really stunned me today.
She said "Meg, you only have 24 days left, it's not worth risking your diploma over, God will get you through this, you're better than them." It was almost as if a light bulb switched on in my head. She was right! This is what the Word has to say about it:

"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it" 1 Corinthians 10:13

It's tempting not to go to school because of this going on, but at the same time, Jesus is giving me a way out of it so I can stand up under it! Also, my faith will become stronger by going through this storm, how amazing is that!

and also Jesus said

"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me." Matthew 24:9

Even Jesus said we were going to be hated! Ouch!

This whole experience has brought me a revelation! It's time to get my Sword and start shaken satan! Jesus is amazing amen?

One thing I thought today as I was walking in my last hour class: These students talk about drugs, sex, alcohol, and have love for money, do they really know what's in store for them in eternity? I was once in that boat of love of money and drugs, sex, and alcohol. Things were not easy, but yet I thought everything was all good. I do not condemn anyone, but I do think these kids need reached out to. I'm not perfect, for I made my share of mistakes. I just ask for prayer on this school and the kids in it. Thursday the school is holding a seminar on STD's and what not, I will not attend for I know they will talk about "protecting yourself from STD's with condoms" I don't want to hear that. Regardless if there is door prizes and what not. I'm a women of my faith and a women of God, I will not tolerate hearing any of that. Some of the people at the school wonder why I don't like to go to school much, it's because of my last hour class, no I'm not bashing, I'm just saying that this class is far from appropriate. I will ask if I can leave early every day right before this class and continue to pray if this all continues. I do not want to hear about STD's, sex, alcohol, gay people, or getting high. I really don't. I pray for everyone in that school, I pray that things like this will not continue to go on. I pray that these kids AND the staff will be reached.

Who are you Discipling?

I have once heard it said "monkey see, monkey do." Well, just think, a 2 year old child running around the house yelling "you're stupid!" Over and over again. That child obviously heard that word somewhere and learned those actions somewhere. Child see, child do. It's the same for us "Jesus Freaks" striving for perfection. We want to show the world that hey! we aren't perfection, but we don't want to show the world that "Hey! since I've got the grace of God, and God will forgive me anyways I'm going to do what I want" That aint how it works. God is a just god and will put judgment where it is due just like a court house judge. Check this out,

Matthew 12:33 "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit.

Matthew 12:35 "The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil.

Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Matthew 7:17

Also, in the same aspect, growing up in a Christian home is ideal. Child sees drinking from parents child is more likely to drink like the parents when he/she gets older. Child hears the "F" word flien out of their parent's mouths then he/she going to let it fly too. We are to fallow Christ, if the child sees their parents fallowing, they will fallow also. Check this out

Being a good parent is all about raising children who will follow your example in obeying and worshiping the Lord. Proverbs 22:6

We aint even got to be parents to disciple kids, we disciple everywhere we go. We influence others in some way shape or form, good or bad. I pray your influence is positive and leading someone to Christ, because if you're not leading someone to Christ, you're leading them to satan. Now, understand it is not possible to "ride the fence post" for we are a good influence or bad, not neutral. We are either saved or not saved, not neutral. If we are not truly saved, we are not going to enter into the kingdom of heaven.
To be truly saved:
1. Admit you're a screw up, that you're a sinner
2. Confess Christ is the only way to heaven
3. Believe it!
3. Live it!

So my questions to you are, Are you truly saved, and who are you discipling?
